As a teacher and facilitator in the educational environment, it is my responsibility to create learning opportunities that challenge my students by incorporating innovative lessons that help to increase student engagement. I have included some tools that I have utilized in my career technical department to increase student engagement.
softchalk lesson
Softchalk is an interactive eLearning tool that can be used to create interactive activities, quizzes, and annotated text. Softchalk provides customization of the delivery and tracking of score results to check mastery of skills.
Voicethread
VoiceThread can be used for online interaction where students can present information to others in the class and defend their work on the same thread. This is very similar to the online discussion board where students can interact with one another.
instapaper
Instapaper makes it easy to manage articles or videos and save at one location. The user will then be able to read on electronic devices later.
